The Ellsberg case involved a break in to get his private records by Nixon operatives.
I just don't see ANYTHING like that here, whatsoever.

The Chris Matthews Show I used to pay $50 per month for my cable. I could watch Matthews and several other rabid talking heads every evening. Then I got a really bad headache, so I called the cable company and switched to the very basic service. Now I pay about $10 per month and my headache went away. I save $40 per month, times twelve equals $480 per year. Thanks Chris.

I watched the first 60 seconds this afternoon just to see how he would create intersest in what was to follow--something like 'Washington is abuzz with aticipation over the expected indictment of the bad guys who outed the courageous female CIA secret agent.' I laughed so hard I couldn't change channels for nearly 3 seconds.

Chris Mathews could not distinguish between cow patties and any of his own personal writings.

How is that an outing. What was secret about Valerie Plame was not her old last name but her profession. Unless the program said "He is married to CIA Employee Valerie Plame" (or Valerie Wilson) it is not an outing.

For cable tv is not 200,000 viewers a statistical zero? IOW a test pattern would achieve the same ratings.
I thought that was what donahue had?

Target Letter to Chrissy Mathews
Dear Mr. Mathews:
You have been selected as a witness and are scheduled to appear before the Viewer-ship Ratings Office in order to fill dead air space. Your viewer-ship consists of from sixteen to twenty three persons from the District of Columbia. It is their responsibility to inquire into media allegations of federal crimes which may not have been committed in this District.
As a witness you will be asked to provide useless liberal propaganda to cable subscribers. Only the members of your audience, attorneys for the United States, and a stenographer are permitted in the studio while you make a gigantic ass of yourself.
We advise you that your audience is conducting an investigation of impossible non-violations of federal criminal laws not involving, but necessarily limited to, bullshit. You are advised that the concealment or alteration of any fact required to be produced before your audience constitutes an obvious violation of human decency, including but not limited to ennui.
You are advised that you are a target of the disgust of your audience. However, you may refuse to ask your guests any question if a truthful answer to the question would tend to incriminate you. Everything that you do or say will be used against you in a subsequent employment decision. If you have obtained your own camera man, who represents you personally, your audience will permit you a reasonable opportunity to entertain them.
Cordially,
Ms. Nbc

(Irritating leftists as often as is humanly possible....)
I've acutally used the Ellsberg parallel in conversations with rabid leftists, along with the Deap Throat one. "Like the heroic Ellsberg who brought to light the hidden agenda of the Pentagon and bad information that Americans were being fed, and paid a terrible personal price for it, the heroic Carl Rove has taken on the difficult task of shining a light on the incestious relationship between Democratic opperative Joe Wilson adn the CIA and their plot to use CIA resources to target the President in the week running up to the election. It is an outrageous abuse of power on the part of the CIA to have done this and God Bless Rove for brining it to light. Like Ellsberg before him he is being persecuted for his truth telling .... "
It drives them INSANE. But.. but.. but ...

Chris Matthews is MSNBC's comparison to Baghdad Bob
---
Baghdad Bob was a much more sympathetic character. You knew he had to say the most ridiculously false things, or Sadaam would have him executed.
Chris Matthews is just a nutburger. At best.

I would watch his show if he would ever had Zell Miller back on.

" Frankly speaking, I didn't realize Chris Matthews still had a show on TV."
He has a whole channel.
MoveOn.NBC has given Matthews control over what was formerly MSNBC.
He's there 24/7.
You can't surf past the channel without seeing Matthews foaming and eye bulging over someone named Scooter and Rove.
To say he is obsessed with Scooter Libby, is an understatement.
I think he makes his wife call out, " Who's your Scooter, who's your Scooter...."
