The resolution was adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which is militarily enforceable.Getting serious now!

Oh no! Does that mean the UN will slap hands or actually do something about terrorist Syria? No, they will simply issue more and more warnings with no action, a la Iraq. Such a confirmed asinine and corrupt organization cannot be imagined.

At the VERY FIRST indication of France attempting to shield Syria from any consequences of their role in killing Rafik Hariri and 20 others -- we should declare our exit from the U.N., the U.N's eviction from our shore and recall our Ambassador from France and any nation that joins her in shielding ANY Islamist State that has already declared war on Civilization..
Pretending that the centers of power within Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and others are NOT supporting the Jihadists is worse than a cruel fantasy...
Time to get REALLY serious with these lunatics, and get on with the war in earnest...
However - I'm sure we'll wait until the bastards succeed in using a WMD on an American city and killing millions of Americans....

Did Kofi express his "dismay"?
I hope not, or it would sound a little too threatening, especially since its only resolution #1.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
We will go through the motions with UN resolutions & sanctions like Saddam, except 100% faster.
Even though Bashar Assad is a medical doctor he would be wise to have his own staff of ER doctors on call, 24 hours a day, since soon, after he ignores & stalls all the UN's diplomatic efforts, he's going to require a lot of medical attention.
