TAMPA - It's Monday night, and 13 teenagers gather at the Glorious Church of God in Christ, a predominantly African-American church in a working class neighborhood of East Tampa.
The teens bow their heads and pray Jesus will make this a productive evening. Then one hands out pamphlets titled The Way to Happiness.

Yes, these people are naive and don't know what they're really yoking up with.

yes I believe Scientology is a dangerous cult and any church tying into what they are doing for what ever reason is dangerous.

Yes. Scientology is not a real religion. People should run away from that group as quickly as possible.

Funny about their outreach to blacks. During my four month sojourn through this shady group in 1968,everyone with Scientology was lily white

Hubbard started this Scientology crap as a tax dodge. You see, he was a starving science fiction writer and he had to feed his wife and kids. Then some real tin-foil hat wearers got ahold his "church" and the rest is history.
