The United States has never wavered in its quest to help Iraqis build a democracy that rewards compromise and consensus.
The ever generous American people have paid a tragic price, the lives of their finest men and women, to advance the banner of freedom and democracy, a sacrifice for which we are profoundly grateful.

I saw their commercial on FOX this morning. It was great. So much for the loony left.

We hardly ever hear of success stories like this on the MSM news. Most of the military folks I've heard being interviewed also talk about all of the positive things that are happening in Iraq. This was a great story and it's good to hear that the Kuristan Region is doing well. I really hope that they and the rest of Iraq do well and the freedom flourishes there. I believe it will!

Great post. The Kurds surely have had to short end of the stick for a very long time. Now they can finally see a brigther future for their children. No more running to the high mountains to seek safety. I still have the images of them struggling in those cold brutal mountains to seek refuge from the Butcher of Baghdad's goons. One cannot help but think they really mean what they say regarding the American sacrifice to free them from brutal oppression. In them is no deceit.
