Galloway is disturbed. Same for a few leaders here. Could anyone imagine a Congress without: Pelosi, Boxer, Frankenstein, Kennedy, Reid, (any others?). Its like that old Sci-fi movie when the girl on Mars? was dreaming up the monster, therefore it existed and attacked the men. Same goes for the Dems. Their ignorance, idealisim, and shamefulness has een bcoalesced into these leaders, and they have become the face of their party.

Has this been confirmed?

CNN is quoting al-Arabiya, and MSNBC (I'm intentionally leaving off the "P" this one time) has a more-extensive story citing both al-Arabiya and AFP, but cautioning that the Baathists have claimed Izzy dead in the past to throw us off the trail.

Confirmed? As far as I can see, no.

An article I read just noted this:

"In the past, NBC cautioned, al-Douri has been reported dead as a way for the dissolved Baath party to throw off those searching for him."

"There was no confirmation from other sources and one Web site which publishes regular news releases from Baath party supporters made no mention of the death."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10004587/

I'm not buying it just yet . . .

Does anyone think there is a COUNTER-counter insurgency?
First Sadaam's defense lawyers get offed, now this. Saddam and his players have a lot of angry victims' families. I am sure it is not on the top priority list of the present Iraqi government to "stop" these "events.

As much as I would like to celebrate- I will wait for confirmation first. We have been here before and have heard this line before.

We have to wait and see.
