Absolutely! It would an ACLU lawsuit fun factory. Whole entire school administrations sacked. Careers down the drain. Kids yanked from school. Mug shots.

But this? Oh "sensitive" information, should have had a letter, etc.

It's gone mad.

After my retirment we moved back to small town USA. 2A High school One grade school and junior high combined. 2500 peopel in this little Kansas berg. 8 very local folks on the school board. The whole town knows everybody. Say "hi" when they pass you on main street and really mean it. Christmas nativity scene on the court house lawn as well as as a huge lighted cross on the front of the building. The city workers are hanging the decorations today and they all have santa hats on!

Crap like this might fly in the big city but would never fly here. Of course its a given that the yahoos in Wichita and Topeka are idiots.

You mean tonight or in general? Sometimes I decide to get away from FR for a few weeks but you know what happens.

I meant tonight, since it's late here(past midnight) although I was up till 12:30 last night.

We also live in a really small town that sounds like yours, in Central NY. We just sent our two oldest to public high school for the first time as a trial run. So far, so good. A friend of mine grew up here and told me that most of the teachers grew up here and came back to teach. My kids verify this by telling me that some of these teachers used to babysit the kids they are now teaching. She also told me that the health teacher tried to get liberal and teach some "progressive" stuff in 9th grade health and really got called on carpet. A bunch of parents complained and the teacher "got severely chastised for it". I like small towns.

I'm trying to go to bed earlier and get up earlier. I can focus more in the AM. Early to bed, early to rise and all that! But it's only 9:40 here.

I should go to bed earlier too, but I've had things bothering me lately and it keeps me up past when I should.

Some parents upset over sex booklet in schools

"City resident Theresa Fleming-- said the booklet-- is inappropriate for 11-year-olds. - 'I believe some sex education needs to be given, but when subjects are discussed or material is given to kids of this nature, a notice should be sent home to the parent and they should be allowed to opt out of the program if they wish', Fleming said"

What a half-baked 'protest'. She believes 'some' sex education is needed for youngsters but thinks a notice should be sent home for parents allowing them to opt out of the real kinky sex stuff. This is her answer to the insideous problem of public school disseminated pornography: allow it, but let some kids stay home if the parents choose.

The thing about evil that has been lost in our generation is that you can't negotiate with it or allow just "a little" evil. Contrary to what we're all fed today by society, some things truly are either black or white, right or wrong. There is no 'middle ground' of evil that our children can be exposed to without suffering moral and spiritual damage. Their hungry little souls are being starved of spiritual nourishment and being fed spiritual poisen instead.

I haven't given a dime to the United Way in close to 30 years.

Be aware, this is all part of the take over of America that has been going on for at least 30 years now. They realize that parents allowed to raise their own children will keep producing opposition to their immoral and unjust agenda, so the circumvent the parents and go straight to indoctrinating the children.

Don't expect any help from the courts either. As we saw a couple weeks ago in the 9th Farce Court of Appeals, parents have no rights to their children.

For any and all who want their children to grow up with proper attitudes and values and can't afford private schools, homeschooling is about all the choice you have left.

Public Education has become a misnomer. It's more like Leftist Indoctrination!

I give to the local Boy Scouts through The United Way and I have been doing so ever since some local United Way organizations have dropped the Boy Scouts.

This is exactly what I was taught (way back in the '50's), the Russian's did to their youngsters to indoctrinate them, and also what I read about Hitler's youth corp and the NAZI's control of education from various sources a few years later. I grew up fearing exactly this type of government control. Of course, it's 'only sex', so END OF DISCUSSION as far a liberals are concerned. (OK, they are not at all concerned about it).

circumvent the parents and go straight to indoctrinating the children.

THE STATE WILL BE YOUR NEW PARENT!!!

An informational booklet that describes the symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases and contains phone numbers for Planned Parenthood and confidential reproductive health services has raised protests after it was placed in students' lockers throughout the district.

Isn't there one parent with a baseball bat who will split the Superintendent's desk in half?
