An effort by New Jersey's two Democratic senators to honor the veteran rocker was shot down Friday by Republicans who are apparently still miffed a year after the Boss lent his voice to the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry."The Boss" used his prestige to support a traitor's losing bid for the presidency . And these idiot losers at AP and in the Senate minority think the winners will embrace Springsteen?! Being miffed has nothing to do with it. This is reaping what you have sown.
Welcome to reality!

The most fun I had at a concert was Nugent opening for KISS about five years ago. He was a blast!

--Ted Nugent BORN: 12/13/48
Began bowhunting in 1953, playing guitar in 1956
Recorded 30 albums 1967-2005
Sold over 30 million albums worldwide
Considered the #1 Guitar Showman in the world
Performing professionally since 1958, nonstop yearly touring since 1967
Springsteen, that commie, started in '75? Uncle Ted has him by 8 years. And he'd kick the 'Hoss's' a**!

I'm so glad that the Senate has fixed all the country's problems so that they can now focus on such silly s***!

Preety amusing. Like Springsteen would even care about some dumb Congressional resolution. He isn't doing politics anymore, by the way. I saw him last week in Philly and he didn't say a single word about politics. I think he learned his lesson.

"Springsteen's one of the most overrated people in the history of Rock and Roll."
If not THE most overrated.
I have been in quite a few cover bands and have seen MANY more. Never once have I heard anyone cover a Springsteen song.

Thanks for posting/exposing the lyrics. It always baffled me that a song which painted such a wretched picture would be played by bands during 4th of July events.

If not THE most overrated. It's a close race between Springsteen and U2.

The funny thing is "Born in the USA" is a real pro USA anthem. As long as you ignore the lyrics and most people do.
FWIW: I have no use for Brucie's music

An effort by New Jersey's two Democratic senators to honor the veteran rocker How comforting it is to know that our country is in such good shape that our senators have time to "honor" musicians. Forgive me but isn't that what Halls of Fame are for?
