SAN DIEGO City Attorney Michael Aguirre said Monday he planned to post on his office's Web site the names of people and companies who owe the city money, in an attempt to prompt them to pay up.

And it was a stupid movie, too.
#1. The people of Mexico.
I thought all cities and towns did this.
Our town has been doing this for years. At first it was called the wall of shame. Now people don't pay their taxes on time, just to get their names in the paper.
It is published once a year and everyone in town gets a copy to see who owes what.
Most people go in and pay their taxes the day after the list is printed.
Finally got a Republican mayor. He plans to run the list twice a year.
That's a lot of uncollected debt!
