THE CASE AGAINST STANLEY WILLIAMS
by Timothy Rollins, Editor and Publisher
December 12, 2005
Barring the unexpected wherein Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA) (right) grants clemency to convicted capital murderer and Crips co-founder Stanley "Tookie" Williams, Stanley will get up close and personal with the death chamber just before midnight tonight as he is strapped to a gurney. At 12:01, the lethal cocktail of chemicals will flow into his veins and end - once and for all - the life of this barbarian, and like Timothy McVeigh and others of his ilk, he, too, can ride the Highway to Hell, where I'm sure he'll have plenty of company. In fact, he can help the others set up a "Welcome Home" party for Saddam Hussein.
Now before any bleeding-heart-liberal-types start spouting off their gibberish rhetoric about how Williams turned his life around by dissuading others from living his life of crime, consider these very important facts, none of which are in dispute:
FACT #1: Williams brutally killed not just one person, but FOUR people, and a jury saw fit to impose the ultimate penalty on him.
FACT #2: As co-founder of the Crips - a gang with criminal roots - he is directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of thousands, if not tens of thousands, of other people, and as such, they must be accounted for too.
FACT #3: The fact that the other co-founder of the Crips died under undetermined circumstances can only lead one to believe that Williams finished him off in order to solidify his control over the Crips.
FACT #4: During his murder trial, Williams mouthed death threats to the entire jury upon his conviction of all charges, saying, "I'm going to get each and every one of you m***** f******." That - combined with Williams' adamant refusal to call any witnesses on his own behalf during the penalty phase of the trial - only served to show the wisdom of the jury in sentencing him to the fate that awaits him at midnight tonight.
With the glamorization given gang culture from the likes of the NBA's slime-ball-in-chief Alan Iverson, as well as rapper Snoop Dogg and actor Jamie Foxx, who portrayed Williams in the FX film "Redemption" that was nothing more than a kick in the teeth to the families of Williams' victims, we have a whole subculture of so-called celebrities and academics coming out to 'save' a life that long ago forfeited its right to continue breathing oxygen. This decision was made by the jury in 1981, and unlike 1967, when then-Governor Ronald Reagan commuted the sentence of a condemned man who was found to be brain-damaged, Williams is not so afflicted; he's just a murderous thug.
There are some idiots in academia who have nominated Williams seven times for the Nobel Peace Prize and three times for the Nobel Prize for Literature. But what do you expect from academics? They live in academia because they can't cut it in the real world; hence they hide behind tenure inside ivy-covered halls. For those who wonder why academia rhymes with macadamia, you now know why; it's because they're all nuts, which is what it takes to nominate the likes of Williams for a Nobel Prize of any kind.
With Schwarzenegger having taken the weekend to make his decision, and with Williams' appeals having been denied all the way up the line, here's hoping the Governor has used this time to get troops and riot control squads in position all over the state, just in case the Crips and other undesirable elements decide to break out and do a repeat of Rodney King and we have 1992 all over again. The last thing we need is another Beirut on our shores, and letting Williams live is not the solution. In fact, commuting his sentence is a 100% guarantee that Schwarzenegger will kill his political future forever.
As best put by this author's youngest brother, "When one commits the ultimate crime against society, society has the right - even the duty - to exact the ultimate penalty." Or, as Dennis Miller once said - and I will sanitize this: "We have reached the point in our development as a society that there are some incredibly evil 'people' [substituted word] out there, and occasionally, we have to thin the herd!"
We can show no finer example that begs to be thinned out than Stanley Williams. Let Williams be taken out by the executioner as a completion of the sentence lawfully imposed by a jury almost 25 years ago. Survivors of his victims have waited long enough as it is!

EDITOR'S UPDATE: California Governor Arnold Schwarzengegger (R) has done as expected, and DENIED Williams clemency, thus clearing the way for his execution, just after midnight tonight, Pacific Time. San Quentin is under total lockdown at this point, as is routine with executions, and probably more so, given the high profile of this one.
So long, Tookie! Enjoy the slow ride to hell! Say "Hi!" to McVeigh and Pol Pot for us, will you??

Last night I thought of a snappy headline for tomorrow morning's newspapers ... "Tah, Tah, Tookie at 12:02"

I, frankly, am surprised the Governor didn't wimp out.
Justice is served ~ Hang 'em High ~ Bump!
A M F !!
Does anyone one know if Williams is a Christian now? I was just wondering if he's headed for H-E-double hockey sticks.
bttt
Purely political considerations: Gropenator is not going to get any dems to his side with clemency, so he's trying to salvage the repub support base... it was hopeless for him either way...
Ya know, it is sad that Stanley cant suffer the way his victims did, but on the other hand, he has over 9 hours to contemplate his impending death - and Im sure that is torturing his mind.
Christian or not, he's still responsible for his debt. If he were now a christian, wouldn't he confess his sin? wouldn't he do everything to make it right? wouldn't he hand over his gang buddies? judge the fruit.
Bye, Bye, Tookie, Goodbye !
So am I!
TW is on his way out!
Who cares what Canadian liberal weenies think? We are the land of the free, home of the brave, not the fascist, gun grabbing commies in the People's Republic of Canada.
I almost hate to admit this to fellow Freepers, but when the clemency denial was announced, I started channel-surfing, and watched CNN for several minutes.
In "The Situation Room", Jack Cafferty came on and began sounding like a normal guy. I wish I had recorded it. I think he said capital punishment is meant for people like Tookie, and he reminded us of what the victims and their families went through.
I think that was the first time I have agreed with Cafferty about anything.
Me too, but now no one can say that the Governor did not take his time to review all facts in the case before making his decision.
