so it seems that canadian citizens known the "ban" is useless and will make canadian citizens LESS safe.
I think canadians have expressed their real opinion on the handgun ban.

They've seen the footage from New Orleans and Clichy-sous-bois just as well as we have, and therefore know just as well as we do, that they're ultimately on their own, when push comes to shove if social order falls apart.

How interesting. I guess that handgun ownership rules in Canada must be flexible enough that there can be people who can own them for valid reasons, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
An here I had been under the mistaken believe that their ownership was highly restricted to outdoor hunting/fishing guides, target shooters and military arms collectors.
Obviously there must be others or else some have decided they now need a handgun when in the past a rifle would do.

Marstar is sold out of a lot of stuff too. Lots of the (restricted - not prohibited) semi-auto carbines are apparently getting picked up lately as well.
