The PBS show 'American Experience' reran a two hour show on the Reagan presidency last night.

It was absolutely fascinating to watch how strongly the lefties protested Reagan's position on nuclear arms. Reagan did not let the protests change his position. Reagan chose to negotiate from a position of strength, and in the end, did far more to eliminate or significantly reduce nuclear weapons than anything Kennedy/Johnson/Nixon/Ford/Carter ever did.

The response from the lefties...nothing. No thanks. No admission that they were wrong. They simply stopped protesting.

There are a lot of parallels with the Bush vision of a terror-free world. Bush will not let the appeasniks derail his anti-terror efforts either.

I love Bush and fully support him, however, from the statement above, I must correct it and add that although he will not let the appeasniks derail his anti-terror efforts, he isn't making any effort regarding our border, which to me, is part of the "anti-terror" he should be concerned with.
