In most workplaces these days, if you don't "accept" homosexuality as a "valid, alternate lifestyle," you will be forced to undergo re-education (euphemistically referred to as "sensitivity training") under pain of dismissal if you do not comply.

What do you mean? Our entire leftist Western culture is now a Re-education Camp.
For the homosexuals, you mean? That's what they're afraid of, you know. Many are terrified of right-winger Bible-thumpers rounding them all up and sending them to those mythological reeducation camps like Mormons allegedly have with electrodes used in Saddam-style tortures. And, that doesn't even cover the so-called "ex-gay" ministries or Fred Phelps.
Fortunately, even through all the rhetorical fog, 25% of self-identified homosexuals vote Republican and voted for W in 2000. I haven't seen numbers for '04
