"LONDON, Ontario, January 6, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The London Public Library responded to drug use in its Central branch by installing needle disposal units in convenient locations."

I don't know what their intent is - but all the people I know who use needles in public are diabetics and they appreciate a a safe needle disposal container.

I don't know what kind of diabetics you know, but the ones I know wouldn't have them clogging up the drains, on the floor and in sanitary napkin bins. Somehow I don't see this as a diabetic issue.

Canada has been preoccupied with public syringe-exchange programs since the 1970's. By the late 1980's these programs took root all over Canada to help prevent viral infections like AIDS in Canada's "injection drug users", (aka heroin addicts).

PART of this insane, liberal program in Canada includes the offering of public syringe disposal places for drug addicts. Diabetics mostly inject themselves at home or work, and today they commonly use what are known as "disposable syringes" anyway.
