The Communists use to use Hollywood movies about gangsters and other criminals as a depiction of American society. I heard the same kind of talk from people living in other countries worried about movies from America damaging their societies and culture. With some of the garbage coming out of Hollywood they may have a right to worry.

On another note I have been catching up on a lot of TV programs since returning from the Middle East where I worked fro about five years. I liked the Law and order series, especially the sex crimes unit programs. But I was appalled at the completely liberal bias in the program, then I remembered it was being filmed in New York.

Hollywood and the TV industry have really given the world a jaundiced view of Americans and America.

You should make an exception for The Patriot. Ledger comes to a bad end, so it's ok for us to still enjoy it. :)

And to be fair, I am a NYer, but I have lived in several cities around the country, as well as in Asia. It amuses NYers that visitors think our city is so dangerous, when it is actually not in the top 20 most dangerous big cities in the country. People get WAY too much info out of the idiot box.

"Fucus films is a division of Paramount. "

Parody or not?

After the government forces private business to show the thing, Guess the next step will be to force citizens to go watch it.

Speaking of lesbians....Notice how they actors that play them are beautiful when in real life they are overwhelmingly .....manish,overweight, hard faced with bad hair.

Heath...Heath ...

Now why would you want to even pretend to go after when you have such a lovely wife? The paparazzi you complai about are probably going to try to make you turn out like your movie character.

Just go online for Brokeback Mountain and read the trivia....

..and you might have different thoughts about little miss Michelle ....the one pictured here.

This movie is so sick and the actors even sicker....

...she asked Ledger and Gyllenhall to 'make out' off camera so she could get her reaction 'just so' for the cameras....

..and even told them they needed to intensify it.

Appearances are deceiving, my friend....and just because she looks sweet and fragile doesn't mean she is.

These are hardened actors.....not naive girl or boy next door.

I know you are right about that. I figured she was a lefty, but I cannot understand why any man (or woman) would want his wife (or her husband) to be a pervert on the screen, and attract pervert paparazzi.

Of course, I'm spoiled because my wife is both stunning and sweet.

I have no idea what the hell your point is. All you seem to be able to do is hurl sarcastic insults. My POINT WAS....And, yeah, I would imagine everybody DOES know about the content by now, since there have been about 123 damned threads on it(biggest case of overkill in the history of FR)- BUT...human nature being what it is...many (NOT ME) become CURIOUS...and think, wonder if it could possibly BE a good movie, regardless of the subject matter? And they MAY possibly become more inclined to give it a chance. Most here won't-but, I personally have read MANY comments by those here who DID get curious and go see it-giving money to the gay agenda cause. And many have said, "Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought", or "It really wasn't a bad movie."I repeat-ANY publicity is better than NO publicity in the 'entertainment' industry's eyes. This POS should have had perhaps 2-3 threads devoted to it to expose it, and then ignored. THAT was what I was trying to convey.

Sorry, my knee-jerk response to pedantic blowhards is sarcasm. The volume of available articles for posting is an indication of the fact that people are talking about this movie whether we like it or not. Whenever you, personally find a subject unappealing, you are free to exercise your right to ignore it.

That being said, the idea that even one person will go see this stupid movie because the read about it here on FR does not even deserve to be classsified as "idiotic."

You're the one that's a severe dumbass-and sadly mistaken. There've already been about at least eight-ten people here that said they went to see it. I read it with my own eyes in one of the hundred or so threads. I'll wager they wouldn't have went if there wouldn't have been so much hype here about it. The end.
