Discussing the character-assassination techniques of Democrats like Ted Kennedy yesterday, CNN's Jeff Greenfield said:
The temptation for some of these witnesses must be enormous, particularly if its a more hostile situation, to just lean over the table and just let some of the senators know what youre really thinking about their intellectual capacity, their hypocrisy.
If they attack him for, I dont know, being the member of a club, to say Well really?
Whered you spend your time?
How many restrictive clubs have you...?
They cant do that. Its not part of the ethic.
:
Conservative activists, meanwhile, were eager to point out that Mr. Kennedy was on shaky ground accusing the nominee of associating with people opposed to the inclusion of women in private institutions.
The eight-term senator belonged to an all-male social club the Owl at Harvard University.
The Owl refused to admit women until it was forced to do so during the 1980s, according to records kept by the Harvard Crimson, the student newspaper.

"This kind of guilt by association, I think, is highly unfair."
"I'm sure that despite having Senator Kennedy as a member, the Owl club is a fine institution."
Some day, its going to happen. Hope Teddy is sober when it happens.
With this little ironic chuckle I'll say good night!
I'd like to see the ABA (American Bar Assoc) do an in-depth review of Kennedys past, and give him a RATING!!!
Don't just just wonder what HIS FBI file says?
bttt
In one of my wildest fantasies...Kennedy would re enact a scene from "The Fly".
Hey, is it true Teddy graduated last in his law school class? That's plausible, dumb as he is. I assume the patriarch of the clan pulled strings to get him in.
I'm not sure he even graduated....
Given the amount of money he spends in them, I can't imagine any association of bars giving Ted less than a stellar rating.
<">Edward M. Kennedy, born in 1932, Democratic member of the United States Senate from Massachusetts (1962- ). Edward ÃÂTedÃÂ Kennedy is known for his championship of social legislation. The youngest child of American businessman Joseph P. Kennedy, he was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, and educated at Harvard University and the University of Virginia, from which he received a law degree in 1959.
ROFL.....
Good night, h-mama...you take care now..you wouldn't want a relapse.
Drink lotsa water!!!
What rating? Blood level 86 proof minimum, and that on a slow day. No ABA needed.
Judge Alito narrowly escaped an ethical dilema. What if Teddy had stroked out while throwing his tantrum? Would the Judge be ethically required to try to rehabilitate him, or just let him starve?
And now the RATS are turning on each other in a feeding frenzy..... I LOVE IT!!!!!
Kennedy got caught...twice...cheating at law school.
I think that he got kicked out but his daddy got him back in.
I wonder how many times he cheated, but did not get caught.
One example, he hired some other student to take his test for him. Kennedy did not even show up at the classroom.
Ted Kennedy never objected to the Democrats who accepted Rhodes scholarships in the '60s when women were excluded from consideration.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodes_Scholar :
"Because the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 in the UK did not affect wills, it took another Act of Parliament to change the will of Cecil Rhodes to extend selection criteria in 1977 to include women."
Wesley K. Clark (Arkansas & Magdalen 1966), American military officer and politician, Supreme Allied Commander, NATO, 1997-2000; Democratic presidential candidate, 2004
David E. Kendall (Indiana & Worcester 1966), American lawyer, President Clinton's personal lawyer
William J. Clinton (Arkansas & University 1968), American politician, 42nd President of the United States, 1993-2001, Governor of Arkansas, 1979-1981 & 1983-1993
Robert B. Reich (New Hampshire & University 1968), American commentator and author, U.S. Secretary of Labor, 1993-1997
Strobe Talbott (Ohio & Magdalen 1968), American diplomat and journalist, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State (1994-2001), President of the Brookings Institution
Ira Magaziner (Rhode Island & Balliol 1969), White House Senior Aide, 1993-1999, originator of ICANN
*** Notice the number of Clintonistas who had no ethical objection to accepting such a discriminatory award! ***
Teddy has enough body fat to remain alive for decades in such a scenario...
