Interesting details, worth a read.
How much time, trouble, and money has that idiot Earl Warren cost our country with his "exclusionary principle"? How many murderers have gone free on technicalities?
There were some bad justices before that time, but it was Earl Warren who really screwed up the rule of law in this country.
Hypothetical question: What is the desired result of these liberal judges? They must know that the end result will effect them and their offspring sometime down the road. I can't understand their thinking.
Does anyone happen to know whether this is the same "Michael McGinley" who's President of Local 1201 of the Service Employees International Union?
Hmmm, does the name of a prominent Democrat that is a disbarred lawyer come to mind?
I like Alito more every day.
Laws are for the common folk according to the libs. If you doubt that, ask how Ted *hick* Kennedy's Oldsmobile did and how Mary Jo is doing.
That was an awesome read. Excellent attention to detail, much like Judge Alito will bring to the bench. Thank you! :)
The Dems: "If Judge Alito is confirmed, your phone will be strip searched." /sarcasm
It hasn't failed yet.
Bump for later
What the Rats didn't want us to know is that she was searched by a female detective.
Imagine the Judge and his wife sitting with the First Lady at the SOTU. Bush introduces the couple making some comment about how the hearing was so vituperative and that Alito's appointment is now being held up for no good reason. The Republicans rise to their feet in raucous applause while the cameras pan to Democrats sitting on their hands faces twisted in hate.
That would be priceless.
I hope ya'll heard that the magazine piece that Kennedy read at the Alito hearings regarding CAPS was satire! The editor of the magazine at that time has come forward and told everyone that.
The article never makes clear if the case then went to the SCT or if the SCT upheld the ruling that the search violated the 4th Amendment.
I'd like to know if the ruling was appealed by the town and if not, why not? They seemed to have a lot at stake here.
