Albert Goering opposed the Nazis. He may actually have been Hermann Goering's 1/4Jewish half-brother.
Ping!
Having one Jewish grandparent wouldn't classify one as a Jew in the Third Reich.
Anyway, take the rumors of so-and-so being Jewish with a grain of salt. Back then calling someone Jewish was the worst thing you could openly say about somebody. Sorta like calling someone gay today.
So just about everyone was "accused" of being Jewish by a detractor.
Nice article. Good for this guy.
"it is 100% disproven BS."
Not sure where I heard it first, but it seems like it was from a few different sources. Do you have any links that clear it up?
Well, his nephew's name also was Hitler, that pretty much clears up the name issue.
I will refrain from casting abuse on those sources but I would bet they share a certain commonality.
The wonder of the Internet is that you could have found the answer yourself from legitimate sourced references by simply searching the statement: "Hitler was not Jewish"
One example:
http://www.holocaust-history.org/questions/hitler-jewish.shtml
Thanks, I was at work and although I like to quickly check in with FR from time to time I didn't want to get wound up in surfing Hitler all day, then I forgot about it before I got home. Anyway, it's a pretty common misconception so I'm glad you cleared it up for me.
