Months ago, Palestinian bigwigs were on NPR stating that the US was expected to supply everything for their new state from soup to nuts, ad infinitum.
Somebody posted a very interesting map on FR some months back, showing the West Bank, Sumeria, etc., pointing out that once that land was given up, all of Israel -- population centers, manufacturing, etc., would be within easy reach of Palestinian rockets.
