Poll shows SHARP DECLINE in support for abortion. "As the nation marks the 33rd anniversary of the landmark 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade that established abortion rights across America, a slight majority believes abortion should be always be available, or should be available without government financing, a new Zogby Interactive poll shows."
"The survey shows that 52% favor abortion, including 10% who saying they believe it should be available, but that the government should not pay for it."

Zogby Interactive doesn't belong in Chat, let alone Breaking News.
Yes it is literally dying- all the abortion supporters are aborting their future generation of voters.
We are gradually winning hearts and minds.
Let's call our senators and tell them to vote for Alito, if they want OUR vote.
We WILL win this one, the killing will stop, but how do we deal with the shame of 47 million murdered babies?
I was talking to a fellow from Illinois today at the March for Life. He is the father of 7 and had his two oldest boys with him, youngsters in their mid teens adamantly pro life. Like me and their Dad who was a heckuva nice guy they will never vote for a candidate espousing pro abortion views. The times they are a changing. Believe me.
Well, Nellie would like for there to be Nurenberg type hearings when Roe is overturned. I'm not sure that's the way to go. LOL
"The survey shows that 52% favor abortion, including 10% who saying they believe it should be available, but that the government should not pay for it."
I don't believe that any where near 52% favor abortion. Maybe if you phrase the question "for saving the life of the mother" or in cases of rape etc... Maybe. For abortion on demand, maybe 20%.
If any unwary, sane person is shown what the ultimately cruel procedure of partial-birth abortion is, and how it is performed, it will turn him/her pro-life in a flash.
The fact that it's Zogby makes it even better news, because a Zogby poll is likely to skew a little to the left from the start. Nonetheless, let's not get away from the principle of skepticism towards any polls. I'll celebrate only when I see the results of this apparent trend.
I think you are right. I don't trust Zogby, and I think these results are skewed in the direction of pro-abortionists.

The best argument for the repeal of Roe is that upholding it has not ended the controversy it was supposed to end. A fifty-fifty split in pinion means that it is not a legal but a political question and so should be decided by the legislatures of the country.
When I saw it the first time (pictures, actually), I couldn't imagine how the 'doctor' fights his/her conscience (if it is there in the first place).
Not much different from the Islamists who perform beheadings. If you ask me, the former is more cruel.
If it was a regular Zogby poll I might assign some level of credibility to it.
However the article states that this is a "Zogby Interactive" poll, and that means that it was conducted unscientifically over the internet. This poll is as worthless as something sitting on the frontpage of CNN.com
Not on the internet. The liberals are out in full force. On the abortion group on usenet, there are only a few pro-lifers. The rest are atheists or foul-mouthed, angry, ill-mannered pro choicers accusing pro-lifers of being hate-filled. Same was true when the Episcopalians elected the gay bishop.
I think a lot conservatives are too busy to be on the internet shilling for conservative causes as the liberals are. There has been a person on Rush Limbaugh's group for years shilling away for the libs.
I was shocked when Bush won the election, because of my sampling of what people were saying on the internet.
While I'm on that subject, the internet in general has gotten much worse in the last few years. Some of the most ridiculous, sick, kook, hate-filled posts are out there because usenet is not moderated. I find it hard to believe people write some of the things they do and the horrible names, the worst profanity, and putdowns they sling at their opponents. People rarely even try to be polite to one another any more "out there" unless they are on a moderated forum.
There are still some nice groups and discussion sites left, but they all have some degree of moderation/censorship.
Are you saying that all the old moderated groups have gone away? Bummer! I was a constant poster on Usenet from about 1982 or 1982 until late 2000, when FR finally lured me away. There were many fine moderated groups back then.
Memory Lane Time -- Back when I first got on usenet, "spam" was just a Monty Python sketch, and most email addresses looked like ...!....!....!ihnp4!...!....!.... where "ihnp4" = "Indian Hills Network Processor 4" was the biggest of the AT&T backbone systems, and virtually everyone on the internet would show their email address in terms of the hops between their system and ihnp4. If everyone in the world knew the exact pathway between themselves and a tiny handful of famous backbone systems, you could figure out how to construct the path between any two end nodes.
