Gore says Canadian elections are about oil.
The Vancouver Sun | January 26 2006 | Karen Monk

Posted on 01/26/2006 2:26:02 PM PST by northernlightsII

"Former US vice-president AL gore urged Canadians to be vigilant over their new leader Stephen Harper in light of the newly elected prime minister's pro oil agenda. "The election in Canada was partly about the tar sands projects in Alberta....And the financial interests behind the tar sands projects poured a lot of money and support behind an ultra-conservative leader in order to win the election...and to protect their interests."... Gore said he wasn't surprised to hear about the absence of any tar sands talk during the last campaign,or even the oil lobby was pushing Harper's cause in influential financial circles, and lending it legitimacy. "Of course, you didn't hear about it," said Gore."media concentration has taken a toll on democratic principles around the world and Canada is no exception.

Al Gore comes very close to topping his infamous line"I invented the internet." with this assertion that "big oil bought the Canadian election." This happened of course while no one talked about it,not even the absolutely "liberal"(as in liberal party) canadian media.

Gore is a leftist-fringe moron. About on par with Jimmy Carter and Al Franken. I haven't heard him say ANYTHING intelligent or believable for over 10 years -- but, I know, he is a whacked-out liberal and we should not expect anything resembling reality and truth from this freaks.

Has Al finally realized that nobody in America gives a rip, so now he's moving on to interfere in Canadian politics?

The absence of evidence is evidence itself. Classic paranoia.

"The election in Canada was partly about the tar sands projects in Alberta..

Surveys say that liberals are more concerned about the price of gas than conservatives. Yet liberals continue to do everything in their power to hamper oil production.

Are they stupid? Or what?

I'm surprised Gore didn't present some theory in which Canada is trying to promote global warming so that it would become the breadbasket of the world.

I I've Gore was an idiot ever since Jean Chrétien's nephew endorsed him for the Presidency.

BTW some enterprising journalist could have a lot of fun by pointing out that no Canadian political parties accept corporate donations.

"Of course, you didn't hear about it," said Gore.

You know, Al. With each passing day you convince me more of these two things:

1. That there are plenty of things no one hears besides you because they're said by the voices in YOUR head, and...

2. I've grown closer to God because I now know he answers prayers; you are not now, nor will you ever be, my President! :)

We are bubbling over with stupidity in this country. With all the great deposits of stupidity at our disposal --- Pelosi, Boxer, Kennedy, Leahy, Kerry, McCain, etc --- all are dwarfed by the great tar sands of stupidity in the single skull of the great algore.
