Absolutely Sharpton. Though I'd take him as Hillary's VEEP candidate too.

I hear what your saying.... But Hillary will eliminate the competition for 08... He may be the best veep canidate.. but it is Hillary's dance in 08.... Granted it will produce the same results as a Kerry Run... Further nailing the coffin shut on the Dems coffin.

Kerry doesn't need credit as long as he has Theresa.

But who would you rather have carrying the (d) mantle. Sharpton?

In a perfect world their nominee in 08 would be Dennis Kucinich.

Yes, I'd rather have Al Sharpton carry the (d) mantle.

Honestly, I think Hillary would be the best opponent the GOP could hope for.

Well since the bigger a looser you are in the democratic party the more of a hero you become ... I would truly expect a Kerry/Gore or Kerry/Dean ticket ... maybe even Kerry/Dashel!

Heck now that I think about it ... lets bring back some of the untimate loosers of all time ... Carter/Mondale 2006 !

ROFL !

I was in the Navy at the same time as Kerry, and my usual reaction to him just on that fact is........well, unprintable.

I'm equally sure that he hasn't got a policy or plan in his entire brain trust that I would support.

I wouldn't vote for him for Dogcatcher.

With all that in mind, my nomination for the Dim 2008 Dream (or nightmare) Team is: Kerry/Murtha

we all keep laughing and thinking Kerry is an idiot and he very well may be. What concerns me is that many people pulled the lever for him and he came really damn close to beating Bush.

Sure there may be pockets going more conservative, but overall people are becoming more liberal and "moderation" is becoming what many people want.

Kerry should be exiled to North Vietnam since he loves them so much. What did they do to war time collaborators in WWII?

Kerry's time is way overdue. Maybe he and Kennedy could make a party of it. Crash and burn together!

Chickens, unhatched type, quantity uncounted.
I think it smells strongly of hubris to brag about all the Dem nominees we can beat when we don't have a clue about who is going to be the Republican nominee. We could get two strong conservatives who won't back down and end up either holding our noses and voting the Rino, or not.

" ... But who would you rather have carrying the (d) mantle. Sharpton?"

Any one of the "nine dwarves" that ran last time would be fine. Hell, I'll even toss in that Clinton bimbo.

In fact Hillarity and Mostly Braun would be a real good ticket!

I would rather the Democrats put forth a candidate with integrity, and with the much more "conservative" views the party once held on many issues. It's unlikely to happen in the forseeable future, but I can dream can't I?
