Bravo, for these loyal republicans.
Any Republican that supports Arnold isn't fit to remain registered Republican.
If one is afraid to call a spade a spade, then one gets the government one deserves.
"Here you have a guy who did what these folks wanted," Maldonado said in an interview. ... He reduced the deficit. He cut spending."
This guy is demonstrating that he is not competent to run for controller.
Most republicans will stay home or vote for Angelides. Arnie is toast.
I don't know a single person that would vote for Angelides.
I'm still hoping for another alternative.
My theory is give the RATS what they want and they will do themselves in.
Sure you do.
The ones who won't be voting against him.
The people I know will be voting for conservatism and against liberalism.
They support the Republican Platform and find offensive such things as big spending, big borrowing, taxes AND fees, land grabs, gun bans, GLBT "civil rights", increased regulation on businesses, taxpayer subsidies for envirowackoism and other private ventures, etc. etc. etc.
Hopefully, the Republican Party will be able to produce a candidate who resembles that platform.
Have you read the party platform planks? Just curious.

Do you support the platform or are you prepared to change them to truly reflect who is wielding financial power and pushing a liberal agenda in the guise of Repuiblicanims and certainly not conservatism.
Are you even familiar with the New Majority?

Mission Statement
The New Majority will broaden the appeal of the Republican Party by promoting a fiscally responsible philosophy toward government and lending resources to Republicans who support an inclusive, mainstream approach toward politics.
Do you know they are Pro-Choice, anti-gun, Pro-gay amongst other things? Look at who they support. Piece of cake. :)

The New Majority -- Orange County Chapter
http://oc.thenewmajority.com/
Welcome to the New Majority Website, Orange County Chapter. As the founding chapter, we have claimed many successes in realizing our mission of focusing on supporting moderate, fiscally conservative candidates.
---snip---
The New Majority has also hosted a great number of high profile programs since our inception. Headliners have included Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor George Pataki, Governor Mitt Romney, Congressman Mike Oxley, and Political Analyst Dick Morris among many others. New Majority excursions include bi-annual trips to Sacramento and Washington, D.C. During such events, we have been addressed by speakers such as Secretary of Commerce Don Evans, Senator John McCain, Pentagon Liaison Colonel Hooper, CNN Correspondents Tony Blankley and Ron Brownstein as well as several others.
HHmmm?
I don't see Tom McClintock mentioned anywhere, I wonder why?
Am I on another planet or is this Maldonado a brazen, bold-faced liar?
Save it, Norm.
It's R or D.
The ballot form
is all I see.
Being rich can do that to some folks.. they lose touch with reality.... but that doesn't stop them from trying to impose that form of "reality' on others.
Sadly, some are gullible enough to buy into it too, including more than a few here. lol
Well, thanks for being closed minded.
You are a prime example of why we are in the predicament we are in.
(Oh, and that wasn't an attack so ya donl;t need to ping the mini-posse, your remark speaks volumes.)
Maldonado's statement was shockingly incredulous, even for a partisan.
If Maldonado should become California's Controller be very afraid.
ccg: " don't know a single person that would vote for Angelides."
dl: "Sure you do.
The ones who won't be voting against him."

You really hit the nail on the head with this one, doodlelady!
