The 'gay agenda' doesn't mention you
illinois Daily Vidette ^ | 2/1/06 | Kellie Powell

Many of you have heard conservative traditionalists rant about "The Gay Agenda." But no one really knows what that agenda is. Well, I've discovered a copy, and I will summarize it for you:

8am - Protein shake

9am - Work out at the gym

10am - Rape straight men, give pornography to children, bulldoze all churches and destroy the sanctity of marriage (or what's left of it after Fox's "Married By America.")

Hey, wait a minute...

Some of the most important people in my life are gay men and lesbian women. And I can assure you, being gay does not mean you are sick enough to want to force or coerce someone into having sex with you. Being gay doesn't make you a pedophile or a pervert. (There are plenty of straight rapists and molesters.) Being gay doesn't automatically make you immoral, an atheist or a drug addict. Being gay doesn't mean you're HIV positive, dangerous, promiscuous or any different from any other human person. Being gay is something that a person is, but it is not who a person is, and it has no more effect on the quality of your character than your shoe size.

So why do people fear, hate and persecute homosexuals? Bigots typically give one of two reasons: 1.) The Bible says it's wrong. 2.) They find it "gross."

Now, I like God, and I like Jesus. But I think some of their followers are a few beads short of a rosary. I'm down with the loving thy neighbor and the doing unto others. But I think God and Jesus are about sick to death of people using their names to persecute each other. From the Spanish Inquisition to the KKK, every nutbag with a weapon and a chip on his shoulder has claimed they were acting out God's will.

I understand that the Bible is a cornerstone of Christianity, and it's important to take this artifact seriously. But in addition to the Word of God, it contains the biases of the men who wrote it. Biases regarding vegetarianism, men with long hair and believing the sun revolved around the Earth, just to name a few. A lot of people have read the same document and interpreted it in very different ways. And believing that your way is right just because you say so... that's not faith. That's arrogance.

The Nazis chose a symbol that had once represented peace. That didn't make them a peaceful group of people. Conservatives can use the name of Jesus and the sign of the cross, but it doesn't mean that their hate-mongering has anything to do with being Christians.

And now, the even sillier reason to hate gay people: 'cause you think gay sex is unappealing. You can call it "gross," "disgusting" or just plain "icky," but the fact is, these are also adjectives that have been used to condemn heterosexual intercourse.

Think back to being a child, to the first time someone told you what sex was. If you were anything like me at age five, you thought, "Why would anyone want to do THAT? I'm never going to! Ewwwww!"

Sex is icky. In the abstract, sex is like sticking your finger up someone's nose. It's roughly equivalent to chewing up some Cheetos, spitting into a cup, swapping cups with someone and eating each other's chewed-up orange gunk. The only difference is, there's no biological imperative to stick your finger up someone's nose or eat someone else's chewed-up Cheetos.

Take a look around. Is there a gay man on your street corner, asking you, "Hey... wanna turn gay? All the cool kids are doing it!"

Now, listen up straight men - it's time to get over yourselves. You are not so devastatingly attractive that setting foot in the Bistro is going to get you gang-raped. If a gay guy flirts with you, the rational thing to do is be flattered and politely decline. Realize that a gay man probably finds you attractive for the same qualities that draw the attention of straight females. So act the way you would if a girl hit on you, but you weren't attracted to her. You don't see women going postal every time a guy winks at us, and we're way more likelier to be raped than you are.

The only reason you could have to be afraid of a gay man kissing, touching, or talking to you is if you're afraid you might like it. And whether it's now, or in thirty years when you murder your neighbor like the military dad in "American Beauty," you will have to deal with your sexual confusion eventually.

So what do "the gays" want? Like most people, gay and lesbian people want to be treated like human beings and citizens of this country. They want the things we all want: Families. Careers. Safety. Love.

And if you think you're qualified to tell them they don't deserve these things... then I think there's a deity out there who's awfully disappointed in you.

With the hyper-glamorization of female bisexuality in secondary schools, that's not too far from the truth for many girls.

Thanks for that visual. Brings an entirely new level of meaning to the old proverb, "You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose."

Sex-positive feminism, sometimes known as pro-sex feminism, sex-radical feminism, sexually liberal feminism, or individualist feminism, is a movement that was formed in the early 1980s. Some became involved in the sex-positive feminist movement in response to efforts by anti-pornography feminists, such as Catharine MacKinnon, Andrea Dworkin and Dorchen Leidholdt, to put pornography at the center of a feminist explanation of women's oppression (McElroy, 1995). Other, less academic sex-positive feminists became involved not in opposition to other feminists, but in direct response to what they saw as patriarchal control of sexuality. Authors who have advocated sex-positive feminism include Susie Bright, Betty Dodson, and Pat Califia.

Sex-positive feminism centers around the idea that sexual freedom is an essential component of women's freedom. As such, sex-positive feminists oppose legal or social efforts to control sexual activities between consenting adults, whether these efforts are initiated by the government, other feminists, opponents of feminism, or any other institution. They embrace sexual minority groups, endorsing the value of coalition-building with members of groups targeted by sex-negativity. Sex-positive feminism is connected with the sex-positive movement.

Gayle Rubin (Rubin, 1984) summarizes the conflict over sex within feminism:

...There have been two strains of feminist thought on the subject. One tendency has criticized the restrictions on women's sexual behavior and denounced the high costs imposed on women for being sexually active. This tradition of feminist sexual thought has called for a sexual liberation that would work for women as well as for men, The second tendency has considered sexual liberalization to be inherently a mere extension of male privilege. This tradition resonates with conservative, anti-sexual discourse.

The cause of sex-positive feminism brings together anti-censorship activists, queer activists, feminist scholars, sex radicals, producers of pornography and erotica, among others (though not all members of these groups are necessarily both feminists and sex-positive people). Sex-positive feminists reject the vilification of male sexuality that is often promoted by radical feminists, and instead embrace the entire range of human sexuality. They argue in favor of giving women the same sexual opportunities as men, rather than restricting male sexual expression in the form of pornography (Queen, 1996). Sex-positive feminists generally reject sexual essentialism, defined by (Rubin, 1984) as "the idea that sex is a natural force that exists prior to social life and shapes institutions". Rather, they see sexual orientation and gender as social constructs that are heavily influenced by society.

Robin Morgan: "Pornography is the theory, and rape the practice."

The ERA had failed, and abortion rights came under attack during the Reagan administration – apparently, winning political power was too hard, so some feminists decided to attack culture instead.

Of homosexuals questioned in one study, 43% admitted to 500 or more partners in a lifetime, 28% admitted to 1000 or more in a lifetime, and of these people, 79% said that half of those partners were total strangers, and 70% of those sexual contacts were one night stands.

Some kids (mostly girls, but some boys too) act like homosexuals and brag about being "bi"

Exactly..you know you have lost the battle when it become cool. The only thing to look forward to is the fact that when too many people think something cool then its not anymore.

homosexuals commit more than 33% of all reported child molestations in the United States, which, assuming homosexuals make up 2% of the population, means that 1 in 20 homosexuals is a child molestor, while 1 in 490 heterosexuals is a child molestor

According to them it is:

5:30am Get up, turn on Fox, get your day's talking points
6:00am Shower, wake up kids, make them bow to Jesus in front of a burning cross, condemning all the evil sinners in the world.
6:30am Get in SUV and drive to work by self
7:00am Get insider tip to make thousands in the stock market while putting hard working Americans out of work.
8:00am oogle the secretary and make crude comments to co-workers
8:15am coffee break, tell jokes about gays and minorities
9:00am sell stock and take the rest of the day off.
9:30am Tee Time. Golf with buddies where you brag about how great the economy is treating you and that you don't see any problems with employment
12:00noon Turn on Rush, listen to indoctrination for the next 3 hours.
3:00pm Go to Wal-Mart just to look around.
3:10pm steal candy from small child in Wal-mart parking lot
3:11pm kick over old woman in wheelchair and joke "hope you had a nice fall!"
3:15pm Snear at beggar with squeegee at intersection.
etc etc.

THIS IS how the left sees us. The "journalist" who wrote the article touched on several of these points.

In public parks, beaches, and restrooms, that is referred to as "cruising".

Nothing "flattering" about being propositioned to join in an anonymous public sexual encounter. Especially with someone of the same sex.

Being gay doesn't automatically make you immoral

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind -- it is abomination. Anyone who proclaims himself gay is automatically immoral by definition, because he has made a sin the defining point of his identity.

Sex is icky.

Speak for your own experiences, not mine.

In the abstract, sex is like sticking your finger up someone's nose. It's roughly equivalent to chewing up some Cheetos, spitting into a cup, swapping cups with someone and eating each other's chewed-up orange gunk.

Is that what gay sex is really like? Wow... gay sex really is "icky", I guess. No wonder God hates it.

The only difference is, there's no biological imperative to stick your finger up someone's nose or eat someone else's chewed-up Cheetos.

There's no biological imperative to stick your d### up another guy's butthole, either! IOTTMCO.

Take a look around. Is there a gay man on your street corner, asking you, "Hey... wanna turn gay? All the cool kids are doing it!"

No, they're not saying that on street corners, they've just about taken over the public school system and are saying it there.

Raising Our Kids in a Sex Positive Environment/Sex-Positive Parenting
Are you a sex positive parent, parent-to-be, other family member, educator or care provider? Would you like to get together with other sex positive folks and talk about experiences, fears, ideas, and ideals in raising our kids in a sex positive environment?

This workshop will be a facilitated discussion group that culminates in exercises that will help us to get the most benefit out of the information we gather from each other. Let’s get together, create a safe space to talk, problem-solve, offer one another support, and share our stories and visions. By allowing our children to own their bodies and their sexuality, we are living the revolution!

Have you ever wondered why the homosexuals don't claim Hitler as one of their own????? They go out of their way to claim anyone who is dead and great, like Lincoln (who was not gay), but fail to acknowledge a man like Hitler, where there is a lot more evidence.

As I read up on Hitler and his homosexual friends, the Brownshirts, it is a wonder that the headline in the newspapers isn't "HITLER WAS A HOMOSEXUAL!"

As a matter of fact, JOHN WAYNE GACY and JEFFREY DAHMER were homosexuals.

Funny isn't it? It's taken almost 30 years to undo what the leftist propaganda has done to the right to life.

The next 20 will be devoted to putting back together the traditional family.
