The refs were too much a part of the game. They blew the whistle to kill plays that might have benefitted Pittsburgh too quickly as well.
You are right that the refs were too much a part of the game...in fact, they made it a boring game...
I know this is not scientific, but to a man today, everyone who discussed the game said:
1. The refs blew calls and Seattle was the victim.
2. The Steelers perhaps would have still won, but had the refs done a better job, it would have been a good game.
Tonight, ESPN's "THE PULSE", reports that 62% of their respondents say the refs effected to outcome of the game.
I didn't care, and still don't care who won the game, but the refs were terrible, and Seattle was their victim.
