A former waitress at a Brockton strip club described by an ex-boyfriend as paranoid is accused of sending explosive devices to local strip clubs, Bridgewater State College and the Outlaws motorcycle club in Taunton, according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court.

Kimberly Lynn DaSilva, 35, of Hull is accused in federal court of sending explosives through the mail last year. She appeared in court Monday and was released on $10,000 surety. She is to appear in court Feb. 23.

DaSilva, a former waitress at the Foxy Lady in Brockton and Stoughton strip club Alex's, now sells sex toys, according to the affidavit.

According to court papers, a package containing an explosive device was sent to Bridgewater State College on Sept. 21, 2005.

Authorities following up on the BSC incident found similar packages addressed to five other businesses and clubs at the Brockton Postal Annex the next day.

The packages discovered at the post office were addressed to Alex's; The Foxy Lady, a Brockton strip club; The Outlaws motorcycle club Taunton Chapter; the Fox 25 television station in Dedham, and the KISS 108 radio station in Revere.

The packages contained two condoms — one filled with Drano and the other with gasoline, according to court papers.

An FBI bomb technician found that if the two substances were to combine and combust, the resulting gases if contained in an air-tight container "could result in a low-level explosion," according to the court papers.

In addition to the packages, the FBI and Stoughton police received several "taunting letters" referring to the packages. The name on the letters was that of another former strip club waitress who DaSilva's ex-boyfriend was trying to date, according to court papers.

Her ex-boyfriend described DaSilva as "very expensive" and that she "has a wild imagination and has imagined a variety of things which have never occurred," according to court papers.

The boyfriend, William Gauss who once lived in Hyde Park in Boston, "described DaSilva as paranoid," the affidavit noted.

The package received at Bridgewater State College was a bubble-wrap envelope containing a condom and a granular substance. A broken condom which appeared to have once contained a liquid was also in the package. The liquid had leaked.

A note, written on a word processor, read: "BOOM."

After noting that the package to BSC had been processed through the Brockton post office, authorities found the five other packages at the mailing center.

I guess at 35, she wasn't qualified to be a stripper.... The Foxy in Providence is so much better. After visiting the Brockton one, you'll need to go take a long hot shower...

Must be a natural blonde. Everyone knows you don't send explosives in the mail. You use FedEx so you can be sure to know who signs for the package.

When you're sending letter bombs to strip clubs - you're walking on the fightin' side of me!
