Pillar is another entrenched bureaucrat who feels that elected officials should campaign full time and leave the job of governing to the professionals. This man (obviously)was incensed that the Bush administration did not accept the Cia's first explanation/advice and move along.
Much is often said on these august threads about term limits for career crimi....or politicians. Another area that needs to be addressed is the lifetime tenure of bureaucrats at every level of governance. In my own home town our county administrator is a veteran with more than 25 years of experience, consequently our county supervisors often follow his lead without asking enough questions or representing the citizens who placed them in office.

I would imagine one thing that was questioned was the basis for their judgments and perhaps why the info they had did not (in this azzhole's opinion) constitute actionable intel.
