I have to admit, I'm amazed how much ppl are making out of this. I totally don't care.

Would he have been legal if he had a sidecar?

Actually the Constitution gives Cheney power to ignore any law because there is a war going on. Or so it has been reported.

The rest of my post disappeared!
It went on to say that the headline is misleading. I thought from the headline that it was Cheney who had issued the warning! Maybe something like: "Anyone else want to question how Dubya and I are running the show?"

Folks,
The law's the law. As the VP, Cheney ought to obey the law whether big or small, significant or not. After all, you are supposed to be an example to others as the country's second chief law enforcer.
There's no excuse. He shouldn't duck any punishment that the law demands and own up to his mistakes.
Heck, I pay my traffic tickets, he should too.

By the way... How long have we been waiting for "disclosure" on the mysterious trail of bodies in the wake of the Clinton presidency?

As far as I understand, the stamp law was put into effect in Sept with a 1 year grace period.
Any punishment will be political with Texas Democrats behind it, no doubt.
To: SirLinksalot
What law do you think he ignored????

Are these people out of their minds? Treating this story like the crime of the century?!
OK, the guy accidentally shot (with a bird gun) another hunter on a hunting range. OK, this less-than-PR savvy administration did a bad job with the story.
But seriously, it's overkill by now, let it go, or dare I say "MOVE ON!!!

Heck, I pay my traffic tickets, he should too. Which means you pay up when you get caught. When you commit a traffic violation and don't get pulled over, do you drive to the police station and turn yourself in?
But look, I'm not saying what he did was good, bad, right, or wrong. I'm saying I don't care, and I'm surprised ppl are making anything out of it.
