No Casino Gettysburg website details the on-going history of the attempt to build a casino in Gettysburg.   Flier about the march/rally at the state capitol (Word document).     There's an online petition one can sign or one to print out and have friends/family sign, too. Looks as though one should probably have his petition(s) in by April 3rd at the latest.

Maybe if there were a casino there, more people would take the time to visit and understand what happened there....nah, probably not.

My parents live in Gettysburg and are dead set against casino's in their community. From what I understand the issue was voted against recently but Rendell and the state are trying to force it through anyway.

I'll email them the petition.

No but if there was a reenactment going on you could probably find some dumb lib to bet on the South if you gave him good enough odds.

Casinos and slots are not a very popular thing in most of the Red areas of Pennsylvania that I'm familiar with. I'm not sure if it will be much of an issue in the 06 elections, but I wish it was.

"Come gamble where Lee gambled"?

I think a casino at Gettysburg is a terrible idea, which should be obvious to everyone who doesn't expect to get rich from it.
