My vocal music teacher would have probably said Hillary's "warble" was due to her carrying too much tension in her vocal chords (a sure sign of insincerity).

Is THAT what causes it? I thought it was from stretching them out so much that they finally flopped. I recall that, after she retired, Beverly Sills' speaking voice was not terribly smooth.
