..."This story is never going away.Harry Whittington is Dick Cheney's Monica....This will stick to Cheney like Crazy glue and that's bad news for the Bush administration." Calling this accident a scandal on par with Monica-gate demonstrates just how desperate the Leftist are.

People are laughing at the New York Times and other papers that are trying to keep this alive. They are a joke.

Harry Whittington is Dick Cheney's Monica... Something tells me that Mr.Whittington may not appreciate seeing that in print.
Honestly though, these guys can`t be that stupid. What is it about being a lib that causes all rationality to vanish.

I read all his columns reprinted in our local paper. He is part of the kook left conspiracy theory DU mob.

"This story is never going away. Harry Whittington is Dick Cheney's Monica..." Not an image I really wanted in my mind...and probably not one the Vice President or Mr. Whittington would want in their minds, either.

Peggy Noonan has jumped the shark. Her comments for the past few months seem to be for the consumption of her east-coast-liberal friends. The Bush Administration would never give the Liberals the satisfaction of being able to suggest that they drove Cheney out. It aint going to happen. Now, if Cheney's health should deteriorate in a year or so, Condi is ready to step in

Agreed. Wait until they start exploring Rush's theory about Harry having died, and the double they are now using.

A near tragic accident which the VP took full responsibility for is the same as the President committing perjury and lying to the American people. Mmm Hmm. I can see the similarity. /sarcasm/

They've been looking for Bush's version of the impeachment story, and they haven't found it. They're so desperate, they're now lurching toward his VP. It really is astonishing. Remember how we used to glom on to every Clintonian outrage (Monica, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Brodrick, Chinagate, the Rose Tree billing records, Whitewater, John Hwang, Charlie Trie, Jim McDougal's "heart attack," Ron Brown, that female government employee who was found dead in her office with excrement all over the walls, the W-88 warhead, the Los Alamos security breaches, the Escalante National Park, the 800 FBI files, the pardons, etc., etc., ad nauseum, ad infinitum) wondering when one would generate some heat within the MSM, and it never happened? All we got was story after story about how his approval rating just jumped another five points?
And now we have a situation where the entire main-stream media, lock, stock and barrel are dashing off as one body, as a single corpus, chasing every single remote opportunity, no matter how feeble, no matter how laughable, in a mad rush to find something to hang around this president's neck.
It's really mind boggling. In the long run, it's going to ruin the MSM, change it forever. It'll never be the same. Unless, of course, the actually can find something that sticks.

If you live long enough, every one of us has one of those life-flashing-before-our-eyes incidents. Like that heart-stopping moment a child darts across the street in front of your car, or you get a phone call in the middle of the night. There but for the grace of God and my guardian angels go I.
The common man instinctively feels for his fellow man in the face of a tragic accident. The mediots are braying jackasses who are trying to savage a good man who has had his heart put under tremendous stress this week. If I didn't know better I'd swear they don't care how they do him in, literally or figuratively, as long as they get the job done.
