I think it's time for an update on the old joke about Porsches, so here goes:
"What's the difference between a press room and a porcupine?"

this is about how the vice president chooses to communicate to the American people. We are a proxy for the American people. Whether you have faith in us or not, and we do make mistakes, we are still a proxy. This is about how the vice president chooses to communicate to the public. My view is not that I should have been informed or others should have been informed. Its not about that. Its a question of, "Does the vice president have a responsibility to the American people to inform them of his public and private activities?
Surely this is scrappleface and not a real story. This has to be satire.
No reporter can be this arrogant.
If this is true, then the man should be fired for "stupid" comments made to a mass audience.

...this is about how the vice president chooses to communicate to the American people. We are a proxy for the American people.AP picked up the story immediately after the Corpus Christi newspaper filed it and my nephew called my brother and he called my wife and she asked me if I had seen it...SHE WOKE ME UP in the middle of the night ...and I said no.
David Gregory is not my proxy.

Didn't Mary call Dowd, "the diva of the smart set" or something like that? Priceless. The camera showed Dowd and she looked like she just bit into a lemon.

"We should really bring back dueling...it would make people like Gregory more civil."
Chalk up my vote for this and also my nomination for the first go-around. TV could make this a weekly series with an internet vote for who's on next week. In the premiere I'd like to see David Gregory and Helen Thomas have a go at it with heads only exposed as targets.

Gregory's comments are so absurd, that I don't even know where to start my rebuttal.
Let's just say, that I NEVER gave him permission to be my "proxy". And I encourage him, and his other delusional cohorts in the White House Press Corps to continue to act like childish, immature, obnoxious brats.
Keep it up, Mr. Gregory!! You are EXACTLY what we need in time for the 2006 mid term elections!!

Gregory was a "But Monkey" with his apology.....he said BUT after his forced apology and then stepped right back into his hideous immature brat-mode.
BUT....he looked positively ADULT next to Maureen Dowd!! YIKES....the woman is PATHETIC......the crack about the cute pink tie was what a THIRD GRADER would say!!
