I watched that interview, and got a real kick out of it. He is so right about the MSM, they offer nothing except "controversy, crap, and confusion". The real news story last week was Al Gore and his case of oral diarrhea. The MSM of course didn't want anyone to even think about that.

"How are we to trust [the press], after a whole week of absolute dribble, and babble, and people, you know, interviewing themselves," he told "Fox News Sunday."
This is actually the way the modern press is...all year. Turn that garbage off and you will be a lot more informed.

"There is a human element here that got lost in the perfect storm of people who don't like Cheney," he explained. "They don't like hunting. They don't like guns. They don't like people who kill birds and eat them. I mean, good grief." LOL! So very true.

I miss Senator Simpson. He spoke at my high school graduation. (Wyoming) He has his head on straight.

Simpson hits the bull's eye.
As an aside... I made some good food with a bird last eve... chicken-vegetable-noodle soup... very good on a chilly N. Texas eve.
Speaking of good bird, anyone ever have dove wrapped in bacon and cooked over an open flame?
I'm getting hungry ;-)

I like Simpson about as much as I like McMeMeMe -- which is to say, not.
But like McInsane, sometimes he's right. Like this time.
Watch him to pull a McLame on his next public statement.

"controversy, crap and confusion" bump!
I'm reminded of a Three Stooges skit, showing their phony "press" id (knobs removed from sinks, I think?) to get into some place -
Larry: "Press!"
Moe: "Press!"
Curly: "Pull!..."
