Mortar Attack on Jerusalem Thwarted, Fears of 'Gazafication' 10:22 Feb 21, '06 / 23 Shevat 5766 By Ezra HaLevi
Kassam rockets struck the Ashkelon power station as security forces announced the capture of a terror cell planning on firing mortar shells upon Jerusalem's Gilo neighborhood.
Military censors have permitted the publication of the capture of a group of Fatah terrorists preparing to launch mortar shells at two densely populated Jewish neighborhoods in southern Jerusalem.
The terrorists had acquired eight military-grade mortar shells and a launcher, as well as IDF uniforms and were prepared to fire the shells, which have a one-mile (1.5 km) range, from PA-controlled Beit Jala at Gilo and Har Homa.
Residents of Jerusalem and Gush Etzion insist that the IDF completely retake the entire region in order to prevent the 'Gazafication' of Gush Etzion and Jerusalem's southern neighborhoods. They say it is only a matter of time until Kassam rockets and mortars rain down on the region - especially if the plan to abandon everything behind the Partition Wall to the Palestinian Authority is implemented.
Monday afternoon, a Kassam rocket was fired from Gaza and struck deep inside the Ashkelon Industrial area that is home to the large Rotenberg Power Plant. The rocket landed near a desalination facility, damaging it and two vehicles. Workers in the industrial zone were told to enter bomb shelters.
Another Kassam rocket landed in an open area. Earlier in the day, two other rockets failed to reach Israeli communities and landed inside Gaza.

The only move Israel and the US can make now that makes any sense, is to bomb the nuke facilities in Iran. A message must be sent to these lunatics, NOW.
What would you think of returning any of those rockets and morter . . . to their owners?
I think it would be a delight to watch. I guess it wouldn't play well with the international community, tho.
Same with anything we find in this country - we need to establish groundrules, along with not negotiating with terrorists - we will return any weapons we find in this country that are here to do harm, to the country of origin.
And they might want to duck.
You are quite right. Returning fire on these people would be innefective at best. They fire from crowded areas and then flee ones the last shot is in the air. Returning fire would kill the 'innocent' [yeah, right] civillians in those densely populated areas and woud be propaganda fodder for Isreal = terrorist nut jobs.

Too bad one of "their" rockets doesn't hit the Dome of the Rock by accident.
Destroy every building the surrounds the firing site.
Someone needs to check Israeli textbooks to see if they ever heard of Pavlov and his experiments.
See Israel. If you reward the dogs for doing something, they will know to do it again.
Give them Gaza in return for Kassam fire, you will get more Kassam fire.
The dogs understand, pity the Jews.
