Press Q: "I have read Jayna Davis' book and she does present at the very least extremely strong circumstantial evidence that the Iraqis were involved in OKC and that the FBI did their very best to discourage her. ... If not the FBI, who... and how soon do you think we may be able to find something about the OKC connection?"

A: (Tierney): "I have some add'l info on that. During the Desert Shield time frame, in Kuwait, what the Iraqis did is they, all these Kuwaitis wanted to leave Kuwait and get into Saudi Arabia. They wouldn't let 'em go. They kept them there. There would be 50, 60, 70 and they just leave 'em there. And they wouldn't let 'em go back into Kuwait City. Once you went to the border, you were under their control and they made a little kind of camp there. Then all of a sudden they opened the gates and 200 people would come across the border. Now the reason they did that is because they were using the time to build, to get their infiltrators, either trained Iraqi agents or Kuwaitis that they took their mother, put a gun to their head and said 'you're going to go into Kuwait, you're going to go into Saudi Arabia... you're going to find X, Y and Z'. And then they have this big mass of people making it harder to screen, to spot these guys. Now I worked with the Kuwaitis and we were able to catch some of these guys after the fact. It's one thing to keep in mind.

After the war, at the Joint Interrogation Facility West, I was there I either screened or interrogated a few hundred Iraqis. One of the themes that came up was that in that flow, we're talking ten thousand people there, the people who were cooperating with us were very concerned of Iraqis agents being infiltrated into their midst. Another thing to consider.

During 1992 and 1993, the army sent me back to school. I was in Salt Lake City. I was not happy with the instruction for improving my spoken Arabic, so I ran into some Iraqi refugees that where there under some cherry programs. So I spent a lot of time with these guys, and boy did I learn a lot of things.

But one of the things I learned was that ... they brought up, on their own, was that they were VERY concerned about Iraqi intelligence agents IN the United States out to hunt them down and kill them. Another thing for your consideration.

In 1995 I was stationed at the 3rd Armored Corps of Ft Hood Texas, the OKC bombing happens within hours I and another Arabic linguist are alerted: "You're going up to Oklahoma City, you're going to help out." Ok. I get ready, get ready to go, we're about out the door, they said "Oh... don't worry about it. They know what really happened." Okay, yes sir. Three bags full. Now...

You put all that together and you read Jayna Davis' book, which I would highly encourage to everyone here, and you have to think. You know Saddam has said the war is ongoing. You know that he had his clock cleaned in a conventional fight so he doesn't want to do that again. But if you are waging war against an enemy it makes sense that you take action against your enemy.

So, there you go.

Dang cgk. Thanks for the post. I'm going to do some more research and reading on Tierney and Loftus. I'm so far behind... I've been cramming tech docs for work into my brain for 3 weeks, and I've only scratched the surface. *eeek*
