"For example, all schools would be required to define gender as a person's gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth."
Check your dictionary, seriously. The sky is not falling, that is the actual definition of the word.
From the American Heritage Dictionary.
"Traditionally, gender has been used primarily to refer to the grammatical categories of masculine, feminine, and neuter, but in recent years the word has become well established in its use to refer to sex-based categories, as in phrases such as gender gap and the politics of gender. This usage is supported by the practice of many anthropologists, who reserve sex for reference to biological categories, while using gender to refer to social or cultural categories. According to this rule, one would say The effectiveness of the medication appears to depend on the sex (not gender) of the patient, but In peasant societies, gender (not sex) roles are likely to be more clearly defined. This distinction is useful in principle, but it is by no means widely observed, and considerable variation in usage occurs at all levels."

As for the rest of the bill, it sounds like the standard hate crime thought police B.S. Crime is crime, harassment is harassment. Not sure I see the need to distinguish.

WOW.......Just think, if someone or something could actually make this happen, we'd know the cause and could find the cure. /s off.

All schools would be required to define “gender” as “a person's gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth.”
Assigned at birth?? They seem to think that when you're born, somebody randomly puts a “male” or “female” tag on you. Whether you're male or female is determined by the presence or absence of an Y-chromosome—
at conception! And this Y-chromosome is either present or absent in every single cell of your body. Don't they teach that in biology class anymore?

Now we know why the left despises school vouchers and home schoolers.

Seemed a bit reactionary so I went and looked at the bill. They're freaking out over the possible with holding of funding which is just one remedy.
The bill requires a safe environment at school in reaction to costly lawsuits some talked about in the Senate Analysis.
I don't believe it's "promoting an agenda" to enact policies to educate and protect students from harassment and violence based on real or perceived sexual orientation or gender.
Bullies don't have a right to their prey.
The preyed upon most certainly have a right and expectation of safety in an educational environment. One change is the state will be picking up the costs for mandated programs.
Of course the legal battle line will be drawn between a witnessing evangelical and someone who feels harassed by those efforts.

I hope he signs this. Its going to take an outrage like this to get rid of socialized schooling. As long as the schools are just good enough that people delude themselves into thinking their socialist school is good enough for their kid, people will continue to feed at the government trough and accept their lifestyle being subsidized by forcibly taking income from others.
Socialized schooling is no more acceptable than socialized medicine.
