SAN DIEGO A van overturned on an Otay Mesa freeway Saturday, injuring at least eight passengers, authorities said.
The crash on State Route 905 and Otay Mesa Road was reported at 2:43 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A San Diego fire dispatcher said eight people were taken to area hospitals.
Border Patrol agents were investigating the crash, a CHP dispatcher said.
The coyotes gotta start telling their passengers to lean into the turns...
Well that was tasteless.....funny, but tasteless. LOL
You know you could be wrong, as not only illegals but also Church groups and small college athletic teams travel in overcrowded vans and tend to crash!
Tasteless but funny, OTOH PlanoMike does have a point about the church groups.
My comment wasn't going to be nearly as witty, something about teaching the Mexicans how to freakin' drive. We're hearing about these types of crashes a lot lately.
I thought about church groups too but the border patrol involvemet seems to indicate otherwise.
Could have been a Church group returning from Baja in a Chevy with Mexican plates.
I used to drive trucks with swinging beef in them. Turn one way, and the load goes the opposite direction. Same thing happens in vans loaded with 20 people. Anyhow, this is the second illegal related crash down here on 905 in a month.
