Boycotts are so gay, but can be useful for fundraising purposes.

Let's take this moment to glance the new Chevy Camaro, for those who were thinking of buying a Ford Mustang (please don't!).

Big companies advertise to everybody, sin or no sin - gluttons, people with lust in their heart, people who put money above everything... why would they single out this sin and refuse to market their product?

Who ISN'T Wildmon boycotting?
This is just fundraising by his organization. It appears that about the only thing they do is fire up these boycotts, and ask people to send them money so they can have more boycotts.
Who cares what magazines Ford advertises in? Who cares what cars gays buy?
What does Wildmon drive?

The Ford foundation also donates to every leftwing, anti-gun, anti-hunting, animal rights nutball they can find.
Ford Motor Corp. claims no ties to the Ford Foundation, but the whole damn thing was set up, and is run by the Ford family!

From elsewhere in the article. I sure looks like this boycott is hurting Ford badly:
"In afternoon trading Monday, Ford shares dropped a penny to $7.83 on the New York Stock Exchange."

I boycotted Ford vehicles years ago but not because of their support of abnormal human behavior. Every Ford (2 cars and 2 trucks) I've ever owned was a disaster.

AFA, 18 Other Pro-Family Organizations Call For One-Year Boycott of Ford Motor Company !! This makes it unanimous!!

So, Ford reaches out to 10% of the population and POs off 90%. Smart marketing move, eh? (rolling eyes)
Why some companies get involved in highly volatile situations is beyond me. If I sat on the Board, heads would roll.

I don't buy Ford. I buy Chevy and Dodge.
Having said that I am not boycotting a company because of advertising, unless the advertising was blatant in its promotion of a particular behavior. I don't care if they are trying to market to a particular sector of society... that's just good business.

Im currently looking to buy another car and spent a day last week checking the local dealerships. I doubt I will go near the Ford dealership again for any reason, but it has nothing to do with a boycott.
If I had the money I would buy a 2006 Mustang GT convertible - from another dealership.

I dodn't realize Ford was doing this. And to think ole Henry didn't even approve of drinking alcohol.
Add me to the list: No more Fords.
