I know somebody who hadn't actually driven in over six months (surgery problem) who was busted watching his grandkids wax his car in his own driveway. The keys were the ignition so the kids could listen to the radio. He was in a lawn chair in the front yard drinking a beer.

That isn't right there. What was the probable cause? The open beer I presume? Seems like the doctors requirement to not drive and decent lawyer would beat that charge.

What was the probable cause?

Police were called to the neighborhood for a domestic violence incident.

They were in the process of interviewing the neighbors and spotted my acquaintance in the situation I described.

Arrested, charged, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced. And yes, he had a lawyer.
