Student protest is against U.S. immigration policy.
Students demonstrating against an immigration bill reportedly threw bottles and rocks at police in Santa Ana, prompting a call for more officers. Elsewhere, marches were peaceful.
Student protests grew tense in Santa Ana today when isolated reports of protesters throwing bottles and rocks at police drew a call by officers on the scene for help, police said.
Santa Ana police were reinforced by investigators and officers from other cities and some wore helmets but they were not attired in riot gear, said Santa Ana police Commander Alan Caddell.
At Anaheim City Hall, about 600 students protested with police in riot gear standing by but without any confrontation.
The protests were part of a high school student walkout that drew students from schools in cities that included Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Westminster, La Habra, Fullerton, Irvine, Huntington Beach and Tustin.

Well, when you consider that 1/3rd of the students in the LAUSD are children of illegal immigrants, I guess we should thank our lucky stars there aren't hundreds of thousands of the little a.h.s out on the streets.

Everyone of these folks need to be arrested,charged and prosecuted. This is absolutely nuts and if it is not dealt with RIGHT NOW we will see things that we are seeing in France.

I just saw that. Bunch of teenagers walking down the freeway. Looked like Chips had to stop traffic. They stopped the cars and let the kids walk on. Unbelievable.
I'm having trouble imagining this. The same people that barge into homes in the middle of the night to serve warrants are now being cowed by a bunch of thugs throwing bottles? Puh-lease.
Methinks that their restraint is only because the media is watching. They ought to say "screw the cameras" and bust a few skulls. And arrest a few illegals, while they are at it.
