The Arizona Republic reports that authorities say vandals torched and toppled four 197-foot radio towers that are part of a seven-tower cluster in Black Canyon City, Arizona causing damage in the “millions of dollars.”
Off the air because of the incident is Entravision’s KMIA-AM Phoenix, which broadcasts ESPN Deportes.
Station manager Tom Duran said it could take "several weeks” for the station to get back on the air. Duran continued, "It's disheartening to know that somebody would do damage like this to a federally licensed facility.”
It could get worse.
It could also be ecoterrorists looking for a way to shift the blame.

I forgot that angle except I thought ecoterorists mostly went after power transmission towers. Those attacks happen more often than is reported.
Probably just some Russian/Ukrainian immigrants tearing the thing down to get the copper wire for scrap - we've had that happen in Northern California several times in the past few years. No offense to the Russians/Ukrainians but this is their SOP so I'd seriously look at them first.
I don't deplore the destruction of private homes that are targeted for airstrikes because they are sheltering Al Qaeda terrorists. Bombs away!

Thanks for that. So it's not just the Spanish language ESPN but also news and talk. That does make it look less random and more specifically targeted.
