I watched a bit of the segment on Jim Lehrer's program this evening discussing this story, and they all seemed to think it was a wonderful choice. (The blonde from American University who is a regular on Fox News Watch was one of the discussants.)

I never watch the Today Show, so all I know about Couric is what I've read here. After their problems with Rather, CBS should have gone with someone with a less obvious leftwing bias...maybe Cindy Sheehan or Nancy Pelosi.
