Tonight we had a meeting with Kris Kobach, a top Constitutional and immigration attorney. Kris was in charge of immigration under John Ashcroft. We discussed amnesty for those with over 5 years in the country. When this was done in 1986 there were 398,000 cases of fraud and 2.7 million amnesties granted. The Lord only knows how many of those granted were actually fraud.

I agree. And sometimes it takes one term of losses for a political party to wake up and know the party must improve by moving to the right. If this message is not sent, the party will continue to move to the left and if this happens, the party could suffer a loss lasting much more than just one term.

My thinking on this is if we require one group to have them, then the ACLU will either put a stop to it, or make them require everyone to have a national ID. This is not a great leap on my part, the ACLU is already trying to stop the new program for employers to verify social security numbers of workers- even if an employer requires all employees to be verified that is not good enough for the ACLU.

There isn't a corner of hell hot enough for the authors of this betrayal.

Actually if you understand the situation in Mexico you would understand that Mexico makes it very hard on the least educated, most unskilled workers in their society. There is zero safety net, no giveaway programs like we have here.

That is actually the group that makes up the majority of the illegals, at least the ones from Mexico. Mexico has all but forced the bottom of their barrel up here including tons of criminals. Look at it this way- if your chosen career path was to be a criminal would you choose to do it here where there is more money to be made; and you would be treated pretty good even if you are caught? Would you choose to be a criminal in Mexico where the money is very little and if you are caught you would rot in a Mexican jail? It's really not too hard to see why our jails are full of illegals now.

"If the republicans do this they will be voted out of office."

The GOP strategics would laugh in your face if you told them that. They know your only other choice is a democrat who is even more in favor of illegal immigrants.

You're not one of the all-powerful SWING VOTERS like Latinos so you don't count.

Wrongo. I have two other choices. 1). vote third party. 2). stay home on election day. At this point, I no longer care what happens to either major party.

The rush is indeed on, I have seen more illegal traffic actoss the border in the last few weeks than I have seen for many years. The rumor is floating in Mexico that amnesty is already a done deal.

"Personally I think that the Republican Party is caving into the Progressive Left"

I think it's the cheap labor lobby money. Same for the Democrats.

You're right on the first part. But with the Dems, it means more cRAT votes in future elections. And neither party apparently gives a shit any more what happens to this country.

"The more people the better - how else are we going to compete with China or India 50 years from now."

50 years from now there won't be a United States of America. We will be Atzlan, and your offspring (if you have any) will be speaking Spanish.

To continue to vote for a party that is moving more and more left is worse than voting for the other party that's already left. I cant say that I'm as concerned about 4 years of a President Hillary Clinton now as much as I was a few months back. I DONT want it, but not as concerned now as I was. Perhaps our elected leaders (GOP) have become complacent. Yes, my concerns of a President Hillary could almost have been described as a "fear" a few months back. Now, I'm only slightly concerned.

Bring us your tired, your poor, your emboldened masses infected with TB... The wretched refuse of all other shores... Send these, who work the system, no matter the cost to me... I empty my pockets and open my doors!

I'm seeing more up here (N Cal), especially men, hanging out at the Mexican markets. The main drag is looking like the barrio.

Under the agreement, the Senate would allow undocumented workers a path to lawful employment and citizenship if they could prove -- through work stubs, utility bills or other documents -- that they have been in the country for five years. To attain citizenship, those immigrants would have to pay a $2,000 penalty, back taxes, learn English, undergo a criminal background check and remain working for 11 years.

Will they have to repay the cost of birthing, educating and medical care for the five children the had in those five years. What about the cost of the 11 they'll have in the remaining years? What $#!t!!!

Exactly, because they will see that as a sure sign that they're moving in the proper direction. You have my sympathies, I see you live in Maine...where "Night of the Living Dead" Balducci reigns as RHINO supreme.

You know the next thing will be to officially allow people to vote even if they are not yet citizens. The Democrats will sneak in or force in a provision that makes anyone in this system eligible to vote -- citizen or not. Most of the new votes will go to the type of Marxist politician who promises the peasants the moon. The country club Republicans, in their greed for inexpensive golf course laborers, are too stupid to realize this is the next step.

The state of affairs in this country emulate conditions in Germany post WW1

When I need a wheelbarrow full of US dollars to buy a loaf of bread, then I might agree with you. Until then, you're blowing hot air. You might want to actually look into what the conditions of post WWI Germany were like.

They say something close - they we bring in engineers and other skilled workers from abroad because there are not enough Americans to do those jobs. If not for the Abortion Massacre (ongoing) wouldn't we have enough engineers?
