Democratic plans to "discredit" Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele's reputation among black voters in his run for the U.S. Senate are "destructive" and won't work, a key Maryland Democrat said yesterday. "[Democrats] ought to be promoting what they're going to do that's positive, instead of trying to knock Steele down," said Wayne K. Curry, former Prince George's County executive. Mr. Curry said Mr. Steele's candidacy presents an "enormously historic" opportunity for blacks that "may ultimately break this sort of vice grip by Democrats who feel entitled to black votes regardless of how they treat black voters." Mr. Steele, who is black, is a Republican.

A democrat said that?
I think Steele is pretty well liked in the black community, I also think he is going to win. Sure will be nice to see Sarbanes replaced by a black Republican. Now if we could get rid of Mikulski we would really be coming ahead.
This is from teh people who stole Steele's credit records. This is from people who view the likes of Steele as only 3/5 of a person.
I think it's kind of disgusting that that little bitch Lauren Weiner got away with just community service for impersonating Steele to get his credit report. They should have insisted on some jail time.
FYI
Interesting that they project that Steele will get 40% of the black vote in Maryland, yet Swann in Pennsylvania will only garner 12%. I had no idea that black Voters in Penna. were that different than black voters in Maryland. It's like two different countries.
I work at a medmal insurance company. There are many around here who would like to have Sarbanes more than just "replaced", and his bipartisan overreach, "Sarbanes Oxley", done away with.
Yes......of course, he then returned to his government paid office to continue his coordination of efforts to "knock" Steele.....
"I also think he is going to win"
I hope so, but don't forget that law where people will be given a chance to vote days in advance of the actual election. I'm sure the dems will be in full fraud mode.
Govermor Ehrlich has that same fear.
