I'd like to see "Dateline" follow a group of Hasidic Jews around Fairlane Mall in Dearborn.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

Send some Othadox Jews to a Nation of Islam event in Washington DC (you know, the high profile kind of events that the press loves to exagerate the numbers of yet downplay racist and antisemitic comments made from the podium).

Here's one for them. Get a couple of "Moslem looking" fellows dressed in bulky, long coats, sweating profusely and turn them loose at Dateline HQ. Let's see how fast a building full of liberals empties out.

NBC tried to dispel rumors that it was investigating NASCAR for a segment on anti-Muslim sentiment in the United States, saying the focus of the story will be a widespread look across the country. Sounds like someone in the NBC "news" division got a call from the sports people saying, "Hey! We have contracts with NASCAR.....remember???"

If NBC can provide the Muslim/Arab "target" what's to prevent them from providing the requisite racist/biggot?
Remember the exploding truck.

Perhaps they could walk around in the 'hood.

Michelle Malkin (bless her heart) printed a letter showing that they were seeking men for exactly that reason. NBC is backpedaling now.

The network added that it had just begun researching the story trying to trick someone into justifying the network's steroyped beliefs. Story corrected.

From the Dateline NBC statement:
There is nothing new about the technique of witnessing the experience of someone who might be discriminated against in a public setting. Government agencies and journalists do it all the time to explore important issues like potential discrimination in real estate, employment and public services. For this story, we also wanted to take a look at large public gatherings, including sporting events.
Dateline has barely begun its reporting on this topic. We can assure you that what we broadcast, if anything, will be fair and accurate.
Every public venue now needs to be ready for this. I would recommend that as soon as the Dateline NBC crew is discovered, the local police institute a "Politeness Patrol", and assign somebody to follow the group with a large hand-lettered sign that says:
BE NICE!
DATELINE NBC

". . . walked around and no one bothered them."
So why don't they air that?
Oh, I get it. They only want BAD reactions.
To: Alouette
Nobody thought they were doing a story on NASCAR and NBC knows it.
They're just trolling for racists and they assumed (from their lofty Manhattan studios) that a NASCAR race would be just the place to find some.
They could have saved the airfare and looked in their own company cafeteria.

Better yet why don't we get four guys in jeans, tank tops and ball caps with NASCAR logo's and have them show up at a country club in the Hampton's and see what kind of looks and treatment they are given. "Oh Lovie were did these Neanderthals come from?"

Well this is sad news. In another thread I suggested this would be must see TV......muslims at a NASCAR event. It would be worth its price in gold to see such a thing.
I really am saddened to hear they backed off of this idea. Talk about compelling television!

Another reason to hate the MSM.
This time the NASCAR fans did not take the bait.
Unfortunately, NASCAR fans may still be smeared by NBC if enough agents provocateurs are planted on the next try.

In the research area, researchers engage in data gathering that involve human subjects need to get approval from IRB. In most cases, they need a consent from the respondent. Apparently it does not apply for journalists.
I'd also like to see Dateline following ordinary Muslims (not the fringe clergies) in the US, and see what they think about Americans, Jews, or Hispanics.

This just in: An American Muslim was beaten up by a man wearing a Dale Earnhardt cap and a NASCAR T-shirt. When informed of the victim's identity, the NASCAR fan immediately apologized to the Muslim, saying that he thought the victim had been an employee of NBC News.

NBC tried to dispel rumors that it was investigating NASCAR for a segment on anti-Muslim sentiment in the United States, saying the focus of the story will be a widespread look across the country. NBC is creating, not reporting the news.
This is only marginally better than simply making up the news.
No Thanks NBC!

I'd like to see "Dateline" follow a group of Hasidic Jews around Fairlane Mall in Dearborn. That would be good to see. How about someone in a military uniform walking around a liberal city or college town?
To: Alouette
Really, the last time I was in Fairlane Mall it seemed like the whole place was 'turfed out' by roving gangs of arab toughs.
