This seems weird to me. I've met members of the Taft family and they seem like very ethical people who also don't have any need to take bribes. I know that Gov. Taft's mother was very ill. Perhaps that has something to do with it.
Taft has long been a proud name in Republican politics. For whatever reasons, it's a shame to see it change.
