She won't last till 2007.

Should we start a pool?

Have no idea what CBS was thinking when they hired her.

The poll should be who will lose their job first...Katie or David Lee Roth.

Her ratings won't but you know how CBS loves to hold on to pathetic trotskyites with no ability except to bash conservatives

Isn't that what they said when CBS stole Letterman from NBC?

I believe she will be there as long as she wants to be. CBS held onto Dan Rather long past his sell-by date, it will be the same with her.

The only way she will lose her job is if CBS News goes down, which is a possibility.

Regards, Ivan

They'll keep her on forever just like err America is being bought and paid for by Soros, I suspect. Not that anyone will be watching, or listening...

BUAAAAAAHAHAHHA! She's a miserable failure.

I agree. She is just the symptom. To cure the disease, they have to get rid of everyone at the top.

CBS shouldn't have hired her. For a woman anchor, I would prefer a woman who is already on CBS...Susan McGuiness, who does the 4:30 AM CBS news. Pretty, but not nauseatingly perky.

Nope, and she doesn't even come close to the luscious Lauren Green!

How will she not last? She is the perfect person for the CBS anchor person. She is a shill for the left and will be the darling of the coctail party circuit. The left, as well as the rest of us, have the right to spout off any amount of inanity, but they take it one step further believing that they have the right to be heard.CBS knows exactly who they are getting and if the ratings tank then they will blame the conservative Christians, accusing us of second-hand fascism, that by refusing to watch her/CBS is equal to denying them free speech. The news divisions of the big three are not held to the same ratings scorecards as the "entertainment" divisons. Their ratings are decided by how they affect the political landscape.

What makes you think that "empty skirt" will last that long? Maybe it will be just weeks.

My prediction: Ratings will briefly spike as American tunes in to see what all the fuss is about. Within 30 days the ratings will begin to tumble as viewers get tired of Perky Katie delivering obviously biased news.

Eventually the ratings will get so bad CBS will begin a series of changes to the news format. None of these changes will include removing Katie Couric. After a few years of miserable ratings and even more miserable journalism, CBS (and perhaps other broadcast networks) will shutdown their news divisions and simply show a half-hour of CNN or Fox. Except for NBC, which will be contractually obligated to show MSNBC.

She's been placed at SeeBS to aid and abet Hillary's! run in 2008.

She'll last for 2007 and probably 2008. Then she gets pushed out. No way does CBS make such a heavy bet on Couric only to fire her in 2007.

With Couric, CBS news is going for a more female audience and the broadcast will have more human interest stories and fluff. It just might work
