That's nice, President Bush never forgets the troops.
Another article with more info not contained in the first one:
Bush plans low-key visit to California

"The policy pitches are specially tailored to California, where interest in technology and the environment runs deep. This will mark Bush's 16th visit as president to the most populous state."
"Moving Earth" Day
===
I sure hope not! :(
He should celebrate Earth Day the way many Liberals do. Rent out a park somewhere, sing songs, hold hands and leave a massive, muddy, stinking garbage pile behind for others to clean up.
The article doesn't say which day, specifically is "Earth Day", or I just missed it on two readings....
I wan't to know so we can go for a family drive in the SUV.....
It's good to remember our troops, but quite frankly I say *Screw Earth Day*, nothing but an enviro-wacko creation to promote the left/liberal agenda, encourage paganistic "worship" of "Mother Earth" and an annual clarion call for mo' money, mo' money, mo' money from the taxpayers (i.e., YOU and ME) to fund the crackpot (and crackpipe) ideas of the aforementioned enviro-wackos.
I'm going to go celebrate "Earth Day" by joining my dog in p*ssing on our favorite tree in the back yard, pretending it's Jimmy Carter's pants leg.
How 'bout that y'all? ;)
EArthday is next Saturday -- April 22.
They said he is visiting the fuel cell factory next Saturday, later they said he is doing it on Earth Day. So putting it all together, that next Saturday is April 22, that must be Earth Day.
But just to make sure I am not giving out bad info, I double checked and confirmed it.
====
"Earth Day is April 22. Started in 1970 by the Earth Day Network, a group of environmentally conscious individuals, the day is the only event celebrated simultaneously around the world. It is recognized by 174 countries."

And rmemeber, Theresa met Kerry for the first time on Earth Day.
"Their mutual interest in environmental issues brought Teresa and John together. She was first introduced to John Kerry by Senator Heinz at an Earth Day rally in 1990. In 1992, she met John Kerry again at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro when President George H. W. Bush appointed her as part of a State Department Delegation representing U.S. non-governmental organizations. She and John Kerry were married in the presence of her three sons and his two daughters on Memorial Day weekend in 1995. "

WHY is he going to a function where he'll most likely be booed off the stage by a smelly gang of treehuggers -then get harassed by the press with titles like, "Bush disrupts Earth Day celebrations," for a week?!
What's up with Arnold? Sounds like he's still trying to avoid meeting with the Prez.
I couldn't help but do a mental
leap between the two articles
re Bill Gates' regalling his new
Chinese software mega-customer and the
visit of President Bush to the CA base
of Cisco System...the same week!
Coincidence...yes?
How 'bout that y'all? ;)
I'm going to celebrate "Earth Day," as I have every year since 1971, by blowing up up old tin cans in the desert with my black powder shotgun.
That and other articles about how Bush is in the "pockets" of "Big Polluters" and such.
Bush seems to like "made-up" days, he also acknowledged Kwanzaa.
Jeez I'm surprised he isn't marching in the streets with the illegals...I wonder what flag he would be holding?
I wonder if I could have lunch with the President? LOL I guess it's by invitation only, huh?
Will do!
