Another FR poster had a very simmilar idea but perhaps better:
SEND CONGRESSMEN and SENATORS A BRICK FOR THE WALL THAT CAN'T BE BUILT ON THE BORDER..MILLIONS OF BRICKS WOULD SURE MAKE AN IMPACT.
Both are great ideas - flags are cheaper to send ????
