I know. They sold weapons to Saddam along with the French and the Chinese and I am sure that all those countries that oppose sanctions against Iran are selling military weapons to Iran too. Same SH@#$T Different Day!

Those SAM missiles are for peaceful, civilian purposes! Just like the nuclear program.

Ok, maybe, but it is time to call Russia and China on this game they are playing. They want to resume the Cold War, but not really. They want Cold War Light. You know, they use proxies to fight the U.S. BUT unlike the Cold War think the U.S. will not retaliate in kind and just, well, allow Russia and China on their merry way.

Well, I am seeing signs that Cold War Light ain't gonna fly. If Russia and China want to re-start the Cold War, then I think we are going to give it to them, full bore.

While the Iraqis had some old Soviet stuff, they also had the latest T-72s and T-80s in their armor divisions. Their Air Force did have some MiG-29s at one time, before they flew to Iran. It wouldn't matter much what equipment they had. Their training and discipline were poor. They couldn't stand up to any Western forces, except, maybe the French.

You know, every one rips on the French, but when they want to, and I mean really want to, (which is rare) they can be some brutal bastards.

They didn't have T-80s and had only about 100-200 T-72s.
