I'd go for it. With luck, the Earth will be smashed to smithereens and you won't have to go. Besides, do you really want to spend one or your last few days of life in the dentist chair?

That's my logic. I'm moving all the appointments I have scheduled for May 12th to June, just so I won't have to go through it if the world ends. :-)
